Finn Smith
Founder - Owner
Finn established White Oak in 2007 after many years of experience in the construction industry. He began by working on construction crews, and upon graduating from the University of Georgia, immediately acquired a position with a local homebuilding company, quickly working his way up into various management positions with larger production companies. This first hand knowledge and experience has transcended into the values and craftsmanship of White Oak today. Whether he’s meeting with clients, vendors, construction managers, out on a job or in the office, he has cultivated a company culture that emphasizes putting people first and aspires to exceed expectations
Tim Nama
Partner - Coastal Homes Division
Tim began working with Finn as a partner in the White Oak Coastal Homes Division back in 2018. An Atlanta native having grown up in Brookhaven, Tim returned to Atlanta to begin his homebuilding career after graduating from Auburn with a BS in Management in 1996. Tim is a licensed Residential Contractor and Real Estate Agent in the State of Georgia as well as a licensed General Contractor in the State of Florida.
Bray Deavours
Partner - Atlanta Acquisitions
As a native Atlantan and second generation real estate professional, Bray Deavours understands the Atlanta real estate market. After graduating with a business management degree from James Madison University, he went to work with the family business, Brayson Homes, as a construction superintendent. Bray returned to the University of Georgia and earned a masters degree in business, after which he founded his own company, Brayson Homes, L.E. Deavours. With his knowledge and experience of the industry, Bray partners with Finn in the Atlanta area to acquire property for custom builds.
Bonnie Greene
Chief Operations Officer
As Chief Operations Officer, Bonnie is a talented, high-functioning leader at the company. She is responsible for guiding and organizing all essential business processes and policies from accounting, to IT, to marketing. She started working at White Oak in 2019 with the goal of optimizing all office procedures, and she quickly proved instrumental to the company's success, helping facilitate a culture of operational excellence and team collaboration. Bonnie has a B.A. and Business Certificate from the University of Georgia, with 7 years of operational experience. She resides in Atlanta with her husband and son.
Helen Johnson
Director of Accounting
One of the backbones of White Oak, Helen has been with Finn since the very beginning, handling all finances, bookkeeping, and accounting.
Paisley Timothy
Administrative Assistant
With over 8 years of administrative experience, Paisley demonstrates expertise in her field. Her attention to detail and commitment to White Oak's core values have made her a pivotal assett to the team.
Jen Peterson
Lead Designer
With design experience in new construction, renovation, and commercial, Jen’s ability to develop client relationships based on respect, trust, and confidence has been the key to her success as a designer. Jen has an amazing eye for quality, a superior sense of style and a heart for serving others. Skilled at creating beautiful designs under a variety of budgets, styles, time frames, and requirements, Jen guides her clients through every phase of the design process.
Craig Smith
VP of Construction - Atlanta & Mountain Estates
Craig brings over 30 years of construction and design experience to the White Oak team in Atlanta. After graduating from Auburn in 1992 with a degree in Architecture and Building Sciences, Craig began his career in commercial construction working on largescale projects such as the UPS headquarters, the GA 400 tollway, and one of the Olympic venues. Following this, he shifted into residential architecture working for a local firm, then opened his own practice for 6 years. Since then, he has worked as a project manager for high-end residential design/build firms. As a licensed contractor and registered architect in the state of Georgia, Craig brings a plethora of experience and a refined skillset to his role managing our custom homes in downtown Alpharetta.

Chris Hight brings over 30 years of Custom Home Buiding experience to the White Oak Team. His passion and knowledge for all aspects of the building process along with his dedication to building strong client relationships makes him a great assett to the team. When he is not working, he enjoys volunteering as a mentor at his local school system, hunting & fishing, and spending time with his family.

Michael Shears
Construction Manager - Coastal Homes
Michael joined White Oak's coastal team in the spring of 2022. He and his family relocated to the Florida Panhandle from Franklin, Tennessee, where he was a licensed general contractor and earned over 20 years of residential construction experience. The vast majority of his projects were high-end custom and spec homes in and around Nashville. He graduated from The University of Georgia in 1992 with a degree in Communications and Business. He and his wife, Shannon, have two children, Michael and Mary Darden.
Josh Taunton
Construction Manager - Coastal Homes
A lifelong Florida resident, Josh Taunton began his career in 2002 and has since gained over 20 years of management experience within the construction industry. Josh excels at overseeing large crews to safely and efficiently complete a project while ensuring the highest quality craftsmanship. His passion for helping people extends not only to clients, but to co-workers, subcontractors, and laborers. Josh embraces the White Oak company values and carries them to each project he manages, resulting in a culture of respect and increased productivity at every jobsite.
